  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup bell peppers, sliced (optional)
  • ½ cup onion, sliced

 

  • ¼ cup chicken broth

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix chicken with cornstarch, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sauté garlic, ginger, onions, and mushrooms for 2 minutes.
  • Return chicken to the pan, add oyster sauce, black pepper, and chicken broth. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

 

  • Add bell peppers (if using) and cook for another minute. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust black pepper to taste for more or less spice.
  • Use different mushrooms like shiitake or cremini for extra flavor.

 

  • Substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
