These churros poppers are a bite-sized version of the classic churros, featuring a crispy exterior, fluffy interior, and a generous coating of cinnamon-sugar. Perfect for quick desserts or fun snacks, these churros poppers are easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, add flour, and stir vigorously until a dough forms.
  • Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a pan, pipe or scoop dough into bite-sized poppers.
  • Fry until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and toss in cinnamon-sugar.

Notes

  • Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to get a crispy texture.
  • Serve with chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping.
