Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon (juice and zest)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, cooking until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir and simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, then return shrimp to the skillet.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream to make it lighter.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Adjust lemon juice to your taste for more or less tanginess.
