1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and water. Stir well.
Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add the cornstarch slurry. Stir until the sauce thickens.
Return the cooked beef to the pan, coating it with the sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
