This garlic butter steak fried rice is a flavorful and satisfying dish made with juicy steak, buttery garlic rice, and a perfect blend of seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (day-old preferred)
  • 8 oz steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 green onions, chopped

 

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Add steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add another tbsp of butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Push garlic to one side, add beaten eggs, and scramble until just set.
  • Add the remaining butter, then stir in rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in peas, carrots, and steak, stirring until heated through.

 

  • Garnish with green onions and red pepper flakes if using. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use cold, day-old rice for the best texture.
  • Adjust soy sauce and oyster sauce for taste.

 

  • Swap steak for chicken or shrimp if desired.
