  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and golden.
  • Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley if desired.
