Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Butterfly the chicken breasts and layer each with ham and Swiss cheese. Fold to seal.
  • Dredge the stuffed chicken in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat in breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
  • Heat a skillet with butter and sear the chicken on both sides until golden.
  • Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  • In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened, then pour over chicken.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to keep the chicken folded while cooking if needed.
  • You can substitute Gruyère for Swiss cheese for a richer flavor.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
