  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 whole head garlic, cloves peeled
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  • Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add remaining butter and peeled garlic cloves, sauté until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Cook until reduced slightly.
  • Stir in heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  • Return chicken to the pan, simmer until chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with parsley before serving if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the sauce.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or steamed vegetables.
