  • 12 oz pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
